Is EY Kolkata a good place to work?
Today was my first day at my new job (small startup doing data science). But after I had accepted my offer, I had been interviewing with Amazon, not really thinking it’d work out anyway. Didn’t make it past technical screen which is why I’m at this company now. But my recruiter said they’d recycle my resume for other potential roles, and today they emailed me saying they saw my job change on LinkedIn, asked if I’m still considering roles at Amazon. IDK WHAT TO DO 😭

Because lower income people would like to take vacations too. Check your privilege
Spirit is a terrific airline for short trips! They're super cheap and always on time.
If you want the amenities of any other airline you pay for each one separately and they're still cheaper. Things usually go a lot faster on spirit than other airlines (boarding, luggage etc)
Exactly
Those airlines ranked below Spirit...should they even continue to be in business?
Shouldn’t the bottom ranked airlines be put on PIP and eventually be decommissioned? ;)
Travel hack with Spirit. If you know you will be flying with them and have a chance to buy the tickets at the airport ticketing counter, do it! They typically waive a decent amount of the fees, so say you find a flight for $140 RT online, at the counter when you book, it will likely be around $100 RT. I’ve seen the fees that get waived average around $20-30 one way. Recently bought a one way for a family member, online was $57.. when i got to counter it came out to $33, the receipt they gave me broke down the price as follows: Fare $0.01 Taxes: $33.56 Total: $33.57 lol
I did this alllll the time when booking with spirit in college. They’re basically waiving their online fee when booked a counter - great when it’s super small airport (I lived a few mins away and would just go on a weekend and buy my flights home!)
Probably because you get the same end result for a fraction of the cost. Just like a older vehicle, point A to point B is all that matters for many people, especially when money can be tight.
Also, how else would anyone be able to afford to travel in college without spirit, frontier, Ryanair, Norwegian, easyjet, etc.
Doesn’t spirit have comparatively newer planes?
Spirit has been from my personal experience really good about getting you there on time, and the prices really help too! I was flying to Jamaica this year and every other airline was starting at $600+ RT and Spirit RT was 180!! Got me there in relative comfort (you get what you pay for) and i had more money left for other interesting things to do. At the end of the day, airline is a transportation model, not a luxury comfort live in situatio (imho)
i only flew spirit once. it was snowing and almost every other flight out of BOS was getting canceled that morning. i was trying to get to DC for my birthday weekend (it was snowing there too), and after it was all said and done, after numerous canceled flights and delays between delta and jetblue, i rebooked on a delayed spirit flight that ended up leaving boston around midnight to BWI and saved my weekend. so only good things to say here... except the terminal sucked.
I’m very surprised that Spirit was higher than Southwest.
