Now RMG is FORCING me to join a Support project in which I'm not interested.

What to do, will they fire me if I don't accept that project? Or anyhow I have to accept that support project??

Folks, i have seen many senior employees with 12+ YOE say that after this much of experience the opportunities are very less in the market. It gets narrowed down.
I want to know if this is really the case. If yes, what can be done right from the beginning of the career to avoid or minimize the impact of this scenario.
