True that’s right (i am not a US citizen)
Interested as well. Want to lateral to the entry/junior level positions from US. I have 0 connection to the region which can be tough.
From what I know, MBB, S&, BAH all have strong representation there. RB might also be among the T1/T2 firms. Lots of government related projects. Decent amount of energy related projects. No language requirements; Arabic is considered as a “plus”. Most firms have large offices at Dubai, Beirut, and sometimes Riyadh and Cairo.
Don’t know how recruiting/lateraling works there; would love to learn more.

Bain actually does not have as strong of a profile in the Middle East. Oliver Wyman and Kearney are also very strong in the region.
In my experience, Americans (or any white folks) working in Dubai at the big consulting firms generally get a higher position than they would in the US/UK - I did not find their expertise, presence or competence any higher though

Yup, definitely lower bar. I've known people who struggled to get big 4 interviews in north america but landed BCG in Dubai, for example.
