What agency pays the highest?

My controller is giving an opportunity to become a project manager, but only offering a 3% increase to $80k; how do I negotiate higher raise with the promotion (aka more job responsibilities) even though no one will be reporting to me. My company also just hired three new staff at my level and they are all making $10k-$15k more than me for the same job!

Dear Busy Corporate World,

If you’re not having sex with your spouse and they’re physically capable, there’s a good chance they’re having that need met elsewhere.

If they’re good looking, the chance increases. If they’re rich, it increases more. And if they’re good looking & rich, it’s basically guaranteed.

Maybe it’s time to get “busy” at home too. Or accept the above.

Why do guys shut down when they are overwhelmed with stuff?

It’s me again complaining about trying to buy a house on my peanut salary. So my parents don’t want me to contribute to my 401k while I’m saving up for the down payment. Bad or good move?

Finally had some feedback on my recent engagement and honestly pretty annoyed. I don’t understand how managers/directors expect you to understand and produce a deliverable without having had any guidance on it to begin with/never seeing it before in my life. I’m relatively new to the firm and apparently I should take more initiative in knowing what to do already without ever having experience in it.

I’m so mad that capitalism absorbs almost all the best talent on Earth – people who should be composers, artists, writers, scientists – and uses their labor for such cheap, inconsequential ends.

I am working as business PM on critical project and implemented a regulatory solution which helped bank saving YoY 1 Mio USD - in today's dept. town hall, my manager(cluster PM) along with dept. head presented a case study of my project on how innovative solution can save millions for a bank - disappointed that I was not even mentioned once and worse part was that, the slide they presented was also prepared by me ☹️ - never felt so low and insulted - how should i take this experience??

Is it unprofessional to have your bed in the background? Obviously it's worse if it's unmade. Moving places and struggling to avoid it happening while maximizing SQFT.

Anyone here ever gotten laser hair removal on their faces? I (M 24) just don't want facial hair and don't think my tastes will change anytime soon, but I have to massacre my face with a razor every 1-2 days to not look like a bum, despite taking pretty good care of my skin otherwise. So I feel like if I didn't have hair growing on my face, I'd save like 20 minutes each morning not shaving, my skin would be better, and I'd probably be a bit happier. Has anyone tried this, and what's your report?
