If I wanted to apply for McKinsey’s healthcare implementation position and it says 3+ years experience and I only have 2 from D would I automatically get rejected?
I have an on-site coming up soon, I also received some unfortunate health related news and I just have been out of my element the last week. I have a week and feel like I don't want to blow this opportunity. Would I be shooting myself in the leg if I requested the recruiter to reschedule? Is that even doable? I've made peace with my news and ready to move on with life. Please don't judge, I just would appreciate pointed recommendations on do's and don'ts. Thx!

Advice for re-entering the workforce after a 3 year gap? I had some health issues that made me leave my career in 2018, and by the time I was healthy enough to work again, covid started and I was unable to get any interviews. I haven't been able to find the motivation to cold apply for jobs again because I'm not quite ready to go through all the rejection like I did last time. How do I get over this? And how do I edit my resume to explain the gap?

I am a 26M and my job is 100% remote going forward. I want to move to NYC from LA (always wanted to make the move) and I’ve always lived in LA, but have been to NYC many times, so I am fairly familiar with it. Have a couple friends there, but if I were to make the move I’m worried it would be tough to make friends and have a life outside of working from home. Not too interested in changing to a job based in NYC now, but open to it later. Any advice/tips? Anyone do something similar? Regrets?
