I've been out of accounting for about 2 years because I decided to move to another country for life experiences. I will be moving back mid 2022 with my fiance and will go back to Audit most likely. My firm said they would gladly take me back when I left. If i was making 65k as a senior 2 years ago is it reasonable to ask for 72k and a 10k signing bonus even with a 2 year break? Would it be more reasonable if I went to a different firm instead? How much do you think is reasonable?

I often use corporate rates for personal travel and in a sample size of 20 hotels across Hyatt and Marriott, I’ve only been asked for my work badge once at a Courtyard (or possibly Fairfield). I feel like my kids 1st grade teacher is being too strict, but I'm not sure if this is normal or I'm being sensitive because it's my child. E.g. she gave him 2/10 for his math homework because he doodled on the page, colored in the circle that has the page number, didn't draw the word problem neatly, wrote his last name under the name line, and says some of his numbers aren't legible. All his answers were correct, except one where he forgot to fill in the blank. Is this normal? X-posting
