How many hours are yall actually working? Currently a 2nd year in audit and I've literally been working 5-10 hours a week for the past few weeks.
Busy season was rough for sure, but the summers been real good to me and I'm not sure if I want to give this up for FDD/TAS if it means working 40-60 hours year round.

Can you have good WLB while working in a small (<10 attorneys) legal department? I’ve only ever worked at large companies with large legal departments. I’m worried taking vacations would be hard at a very small company since there are fewer people to cover for you.

Question from a non-PI lawyer, if there is a car accident that causes a major injury or even death to a passenger at the fault of the driver, how far will the civil liability go for the driver? If the driver is an adult, could the plaintiff/their estate go after future earnings? Could they go after the driver’s family for recovery? Or would it just be limited to the insurance policy? I was counseled out my last job. After grinding for about 3 months, I was able to land a position with a 50% pay bump. After the initial relief, I am now dreading going back to work. At my last job, I was having regular panic attacks. I’m worried that my mental health will relapse after I start working again.

The insurance company I work for outsourced a huge majority of my work to a third party, ontellus 🤮. I am not longer able to bill for NPNP, SDT and CNOS. I received 5 separate NPNPs from ontellus that either had the incorrect case style, signature block or date. I don't know if this is the right bowl to share this but I felt like this could help someone else. I had been having trouble at work and there's a lot of complexity that's around it. I got sober just over a year ago, started this job shortly after that, and have been working from home for a lot of it. For months I have been off my game and couldn't figure out why, I have been anxious and sloppy. Everything got better when I halved a mood stabilizer med I am on for anxiety!

I am interviewing for a new IT Manager position. I started putting out soft feelers and then hit the hunt harder. The problem: I have one offer and need to give an answer by next Wednesday. LTI -Appeared for LTI L1 round on 9th july. The panel even clearly told he is recommending my name for Next round. What is the process they follow and generally how much time HR take to keep L2 ? I tried calling hr n dropped a mail too but no response.
