How is Uber in Dallas? Seen a few interesting roles posted and wondering if it's still a good place to work and if it would be seen as an upgrade or downgrade over JP Morgan.

They are two completely different companies and industries, it’s like comparing apples and oranges. But I do know that comp for roles at Uber in TX is noticeably lower than the Bay

What kind of car will you be driving?

Depends what you’re doing in JPM and current level vs. what uber is offering.

Fair enough, any insight into what level at Uber I would need to target for over 180K in comp. An SA in a strategy role at JP and wondering what the equivalent to SA or VP would be at Uber

If you’ve interviewed via Zoom/WebEx/Teams etc. recently, did you use your personal computer or work computer? My personal laptop is old and the camera is nowhere near the quality of my work laptop. Is it crazy to use my work laptop? Side note - the interview is via Microsoft Teams, which we use in my office for internal communications. I’m comfortable with the using the platform, but have no idea how meeting info is stored.

I’m curious what the opinions are on the process they have seen or used to get promoted. I’ve never had it happen in my career this way but in my mind, your work speaks for itself, you advocate for yourself, ask for a promotion when it’s not been offered. Then you get promoted after you make your case if you do qualify. The way I’ve seen it (& a reason I’m leaving my current company) is where they only promote people when they’ve threatened to leave or received a different offer. Thoughts?

Returning to B4 firm post-MBA in a few months - I was thinking I'd like to start reaching out to some of the contacts I'd networked with last summer to see what they're up to / what projects they have pending. Just wondering if this makes sense or if it'd be more annoying than anything. Thanks
