What's the internal job transfer protocol for PwC? Do I really have to contact my RL first before applying anywhere? I'd like to stay in the same office and don't really care about getting a higher salary. Just want to stay at PwC in a tax related role (which is what I'm in now, just more niche).
Would really like to know what's going wrong at PwC. Can someone please explain the root cause of unhappy employees, layoffs and steamroll culture?
I am facing one of the most wild shifts in mindset ever — i always thought i wanted to be this super accomplished career driven woman, but all i care about these days is making enough money to buy more real estate and retire asap. I feel like a hypocrite some days, and somedays i’m willing to sacrifice job interests for higher salary and just get to my goal of early retirement though real estate. Can someone please tell me i’m not going crazy :( this duality is weird to deal with.
Having my performance review soon. Have not met my billable hours last year due to lack of work. I have been very proactive and constantly emailed partners to inquire about more work. I will be a 4 year associate this year. Thinking to negotiate my level/compensation. Any advise?
MBB is known for fastest progression to Partner in 6-7 years and SIGNIFICANTLY better comp compared to Big 4. That said seeing some of my Big 4 friends make it to SMs in 7 years so MBB needs to amp up the meritocracy based promotions. Curious what would be the comp for a 1st year consulting partner in Big 4?

Received a job offer at a consulting firm as a data analytics consultant for $20k more than I am making now. I am torn on taking the job offer because my manager told me I was getting promoted at the end of the year to a data analyst. I am not sure what the salary range for a data analyst is at my current job. Should I take the job or wait it out to see what my end of year raise would look like? I really like my job and team so leaving would be tough, but this raise is something to consider.

Outsourced IA /RA vs. Internal Audit - how’s the job differ? Why choose one path over another? WLB? I have 2 offers one at a consulting firm and one at a bank, just trying to understand the big differences as both seem like potentially good roles and comp is comparable. Also at the consulting firm I met a few people that left industry for consulting (which seems counterintuitive for me coming from external audit). Can someone help me understand why go back to consulting after industry?
I need to stop stress dry heaving. Bought my first house with mortgage of $5,000 a month. I make $190k/year base and fiancée makes 100k. Is the mortgage to income ratio ok?

Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?

Interviewing for PWC manager role .. what are some of questions someone can expect? What are the different rounds of interview?
Most of our engagements, if not all, are targeted towards operations, digital, tech, human capital that in most cases reduces the bottom line or increases top line for the clients. The engagement sponsor is happy and goes up the ladder and gives us an even bigger pie next time. Have we truly done engagements that were for the greater good of the world, climate, water, health, society, infra, education? Would love to hear some examples.
Once a company says they are working on an offer for you, how long have you seen the actual, written offer take? I haven’t made a move in a long time so can’t even remember what this timeline is like. Imagine it might depend on salary/position, as well.

I’ve been with my creative partner since we started (3.5 years ago). We just interviewed at my dream agency together and I want to reach out to said agency and let them know I’d be more interested in a position without my current partner. I know it’s risky but there’s very little chance we’ll get this job anyways, so why not right? Right??

I am highly interested in applying for the "Technology Strategy Consultant" role at the Big D in NYC. One of the questions I have is that a requirement is "minimum if a bachelor degree and 2+ years consulting/industry experience" Assuming my internships don't count for industry experience. I'll only have a couple months of experience as a consultant, I also do have a master's degree if it helps satisfies that requirement. Any insight if Deliotte would consider me as a candidate or toss me?
