I haven’t started yet, but have had a couple of Accenture PMs reach out regarding open roles for upcoming projects. All meetings have gone fine and promising, only to lead up to a rejection that they’re moving with another resource. Does Accenture move quickly in resourcing for projects?

Depends. I do corporate strategy at a bank. It’s usually 40-45 a week, can peak at 60. Other strategy groups at other banks end up working longer. Hell, my hours can increase 10-20 hours a week because I get a new MD, or because we decide to enter M&A and are therefore busy.
P&L is hard - but that might due to finance . We are decently compensated, but a lot of us feel stuck, since there’s only so many Executive director and MD strategy roles, but we don’t necessary have deep enough skills to be an executive director outside our group. We could probably take a back office support role to try to get promos, but they are in lower pay bands and are all getting moved outside of NYC / laid off.
All of this leads to a dynamic where on paper we are doing great...mid-200k for a job that is basically 9-5, with very interesting work...but most people on the team are miserable since they are stuck. The year over year pay raises suck too.
LCOL areas have lower pay, and if you work in finance, you have 10+ years of friendships and network you lose if you move. I hate how people internet are always like “lol just move to a cheap, boring city where you don’t know anyone, why doesn’t anyone think of this!”
Also what finance companies even have headquarters in Denver, Austin, or Philly in the first place?
