I called in sick today and ended up watching "Walking Dead" marathon while having soup in bed. Almost felt like college days. Except when the phone rang and I had to take an urgent client call.

PTO means time off. Not kind of time off. Not "hey could you do this one thing for me". Not "trying to save the client money so use your PTO but you'll be working". Not "let's turn everything into an emergency so they have to work". It isn't a suggestion that they are unavailable. They are unavailable. If you don't respect their time off, then why should anyone respect yours? Do not be reaching out to your teammates that are on PTO. Whatever it is, it can wait.

Anyone on a H1b visa ever had to travel abroad for engagements? How did it work out?

Current util is 119. How long can I spend on the beach looking for a new gig before it goes back to the 90s? I had a lead role so want to wait for another good role if I can. But util is high priority

5 years in consulting and just got accepted into medical school! This will be one hell of a career change 😅
