Ask them if it is acceptable.
You’d rather ask and be told ‘no’, than to book the time and frustrate them.
Some folks are happy to meet after 5pm, others wouldn’t dare.
Won’t comment on your organization standards, but I do think that in this industry, it’s not a 9-5 job for anyone. If the timeline for the project needs leadership review by a certain day and their calendar is full during normal working hours, then if they want the project to succeed, they need to either move things around or meet later in the evening.
It’s always better to ask. Everyone has a different working style and cadence. In my experience, partners/directors will review after 5pm, often until 8 or 9 pm or even later.
Your “leadership team” is likely to be in a position of having kids to make dinner for or spend time with or put to bed. That’s why the 5-8 pm est is sometimes difficult. Just be sensitive to that and ask. I personally hate getting a deck at 5 pm or a meeting at that time because of my kid time.
