Anyone in CA?
I recently launched a new company called EsquireTek it's a software that helps automate discovery.
First, you upload the PDF and within 60 seconds it extracts the questions so you dont have to re type or copy and paste the questions any more.
You can then send your client a text message and they can answer discovery through their phone. I'm pretty proud of it and quite a few PI lit firms are already using it.
Would love any feedback. Www.esquiretek.com

"Buy some damn soap and change your life!"
Hello everyone,
From your experience, should I apply to entry-level strategy consulting positions in Paris (my hometown) or in Dubaï?
Background: I just finished my master's in finance and my bachelor's in target/international universities and did 2 M&A internships (Tier2 bank & elite boutique).
I am considering relocating to Dubai (vs. Paris) because of the following elements:
-net pay
-better chance to get into top firms?
-WLB
-international
-meritocratic
What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Rare but not unheard of. I heard of a Bain guy who got poached by advent a few years ago because he impressed them after several months of DDs. I think it’s a much more likely path to just network, apply, and teach yourself lbo modeling the normal way.
Ive never seen this happen. CDD is about 30% of the DD work that deal teams do, but it’s less about that. It’s more that they have a very well established recruiting process that you’re more than welcome to apply to, so they don’t have much incentive to take from case teams
This ^ just respond to HH like everyone else. I also get the sense that they primarily just want people who can do accurate, complex, and financially technical analysis on a consistent basis & put up with the hours. MBB and BB banks are great for this pool. But a senior manager in consulting lateraling to like a VP/principal role on the deal team being the quarterback on the diligence.. that’s not really feasible (in my opinion, perhaps others have different opinions.. I’ve never seen it and the skill set between consulting & PE gets real different real quick as you move up the PE ladder)

Sometimes it happens but not often. Even at McK, when you work with PE, it is usually CDD. The CDD skill set to the actual LBO model has some linkages but also quite different.
For PE Ops, these teams are usually pretty small and lean, so question is why they want you in house rather than just buy you as a consultant
This has happened to a few of my PEPI colleagues in the last couple of years. Happens at Alix occasionally as well. It’s tricky because of the no-poach agreements but not unheard of.
Ops team. Depends on relationship but PE has paid out to bring in talent based on my experience
