Hi. I’m currently thinking of applying to Ms Data Science at Harvard University (https://www.seas.harvard.edu/applied-computation/graduate-programs/masters-data-science). 1YOE, Strong T2, Canada 1st University, 3.5 GPA Electrical Engineering, 5 months internship in Food-tech startup (No GRE as it is not considered in the application). Do I stand a chance?

Anyone have experience with Sterling Background Checks? How long did it take? Trying to figure out when to put in my two weeks. No international work experience but have a couple states I’ve worked in and an internship that didn’t have a W2

Just got an offer to join a consulting firm. Start date end of Aug. I also received an offer from State Dept for fall internship (~10hrs/wk). Both are virtual for now. Is it worth talking to new firm about potentially doing internship at State? It’s something I’m interested in for future goals. Who do I talk to? (HR or MDs)? Thanks!
As an intern I’m starting to doubt my love for the industry. At first I was excited and i know I’m just an intern but everyday I feel super sad that i gotta go to the office and basically push pixels

Blunt message I give to 1st years: "Everyone assumes you have the skills and knowledge of a toddler. Don't talk about what classes you took or your internship. Say and be open to anything."
Currently working at a Risk Consulting internship at one of the Big4 for the Summer. Been an enjoyable experience but honestly I’m kinda stuck on what I really want to do full time. Got a really big interest in the Tax environment as well. Majoring in Acc and MIS - Kinda can go either way with these majors. Any advice? (Also don’t think I’d be public accounting for life - So long term wise not sure which is better)

At a B4 stressed but managing it. Partner passed me over for a sr manager but treats me like one (constantly managing multiple projects, driving his practice initiatives and driving 1-2 /$300-500k of proposals every month. Boutique is offering me the TC that I won’t make here for 3-4 years - same level, more focused scope. Also talking to a tech firm that will be a slight bump (10-15%) but likely 25% less work/stress. Worried a little bit about career progression. Thoughts?
