How long after Round 1’s do you usually hear back?

Resume question I've had three positions over my career one of which lasted 3 months and that I got fired from, the job search took an additional 2 months. Is it worth it to leave the 3 month stint off my resume? It might be easier to explain getting fired then a 5-month gap I was thinking

I interviewed with Amazon for SDE 1 role on 31 November 2021. Out of 4 rounds held on the same day, 2 went really good and other two were just alright. I haven't received any communication from them till date. Do they generally have such delays in announcing results or is it because they have rejected me?

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?

For someone whose practice focuses almost exclusively on GDPR issues, how much prep is really needed for CIPP/E? I prepped extensively for CIPP/US (I felt over prepared) and want to add EU to my resume. I’m in house and farm a lot of work out to outside counsel, but am hoping to take on a bit more myself. How important is having a job title that specifies a focus in employment law in the context of salary and future job prospects? This is opposed to something general such as attorney or council. If I'm looking for a position in employment law with a general title on my resume, will perspective employers rule me out because of it? I just asked for a title change and I am not sure how hard to push for it.

Any thoughts on changing fields of law? I have been actively networking and trying to get a position with an admiralty and maritime law firm. This is a niche field of law and it has been really difficult to break into (almost no job postings and everyone knows each other)any suggestions?

I've struggled with excess for as long as alcohol has been a part of my life. I'm at a low point after having too much on Sunday, being unproductive on Monday, and barely sleeping. It's this moment that makes me want to finally change. But I know when I'm feeling better, I'll think I can do this all again and next time it'll be fine. I’m a new patent prosecution associate and unfortunately only just now realized that maybe prosecuting patents isn’t something I want to do long term. I loved copyright (and trademark) in law school, but I have loans to pay off. So basically the only thing I find appealing about PE is money (judge all you want but I’m sure I’m not alone) - I don’t like excel, or finance, or math. And I just got an offer for a PE role in an industry that I don’t love and with 3 fewer weeks of vacation than my current role (I really value vacation time)... idk would I be a total idiot to pass up the chance to break into PE? Long term goal is to marry rich and retire young lol.

Not to be cocky, but do you consultants really get into investing teams? I was a SC for 4 months (small shop) then banking 1.5 years at jpm. Now at a 2.5bn fund on the investment team. All the people I know at PE shops come from banking or have pre mba PE experience. Where did you come from if not the traditional route?
