How long after someone quits/resigns from PwC will their medical insurance remain active? End of that month?

Don’t know the answer to your question. You have the option to extend with COBRA though. And you can punt the decision for a while. Example: - resign effective 10/2 - regular coverage extends through 10/31 (need to verify with Pdubs) - don’t take COBRA initially - get hurt on 12/28 - enact COBRA. Pay premiums all the way back to 11/1. Need to read fine print as plans can vary on when the clock starts

^interesting. Didn’t know that. For PwC, I believe it’s month’s-end

Confirming PwC is month end. I suppose a possible exception may be if you don’t give the required notice in your contract, but I have no data on that aspect.

I believe the clock is 90 days but can start from last day, 1st day of last month, last day of last month, etc. So there is some optionality, but you could also screw up. Super helpful though if you have a month or 2 gap. It’s also super expensive, but you’ll only pay if you need it

Yes end of month.

Has anyone taken advantage of borrowing against the cash value of a life insurance policy to pay for a house? Supposedly it's like getting free money to pay it down from year 16 to year 30 of the mortgage. Talked to a financial advisor and it sounds too good to be true so I am scared to start buying a life insurance policy to tie up my cash.

My insurance denied my claim for a routine visit because "I had other insurance". (I dropped off my KPMG insurance 2 months before to go on my wife's plan). I called insurance and they said that they would take care of it, but they took so long to reprocess that it went to collections. Can I get the insurance company to pay collections? A cursory Google search says that it will come off my credit score if the insurance pays it.

Just got my first pet - Teacup/Toy Yorkie! (Wife and I have been wanting a dog and quarantine seemed like the perfect time to get one) Was looking for Pet Insurance for him. PwC offers a 10% discount through ASPCA. Was wondering what pet insurance everyone else has and if any company is preferred? I’m thinking of a plan with a $250 deductible with 90% reimbursed with a 10k annual limit of total reimbursements. Thoughts/opinions on this? Pic of him in the comments :)

Earlier this year went on requested & approved medical leave of absence and received short term disability. Mental health issues were reason. Severe. Returned and was not returned work and given very limited in scope new cases. Asked to elevate issue past PG and now it has been brought to my attention that it’s not a good fit...I need to move on, and nothing I can do about it. Hard to not feel like a failure and be down. Advice for moving on?
