How long after you decline a position does a recruiter “own” you? I initially shot down an offer 4ish months ago and reconsidering the firm. The current sitch is just not a good match and I made a mistake…thinking of reaching out to the first firm directly.

I'm a BMS graduate from a top tier college in India. Have an experience of 1.6 yeaars in the US Mortgage industry (Secondary Market). However, I've resigned in June, 2020. Now, I'm looking for full time roles in core finance and I'm looking towards PE firms/IB. To upskill myself, I've also completed a PE course on coursera. Can someone guide me/provide leads about how could I be considered for an interview atleast? (I've been applying aggressively, but couldn't land an interview yet, help!)

Are the exit opportunities better in Internal Audit/Business Process than IT Audit? All I hear is how awful IT Audit is but don’t hear as much complaining from the business side

Anyone here work in-house? 2nd year associate, aiming to get an in-house role at a startup or smaller company and thinking of getting CIPP certified.

I have heard privacy is a big issue for companies these days and am wondering if it is worth getting certified to stand out. I have been doing M&A and PE work before so I do not have any applied privacy experience (but I think it’s really interesting).

Any advice on negotiation? Interviewer says max range for Atlanta $200k base/$300k TC.

Any advice for asking for almost a 30-35% raise. I recently got an Office Manager position and I wanted to renegotiate my pay. It's a brand new location with branches nationwide. So for a few months I had to do everything myself since I was the only one in the office at this location. I did extremely well and everyone's told me I've been doing a great job. I'm a summer associate at a midsize firm and I recently found out from a partner that some of the other partners who have assigned me work mentioned how my work product didn't look proofread. I know that proofreading is really important and this gave me the gut check I need to remember to proofread before submitting any assignments. However, I only have 2-3 weeks left.
