I expect that the other company will let me know if they plan to make an offer by the end of the week. I am seriously considering both and want to give each a chance. How many rounds of interviews would be maximum you would take for a job? I feel very tired for some roles request 5+ rounds.

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.

So I'm interviewing, have had loose salary conversation (talked about band but not specifics), and approaching the official offer stage. It's become clear the role is something I'm very well qualified for, but their pay expectations for the role are much lower than mine. How do I ask if I could be considered for a higher level position in the team in a higher salary band instead?

Hello! I was offered a position at the middle of the posted salary range. I exceed every one of the requirements and all but one of the preferred qualifications. (I will have my Supervision designation in a few months.) Should I negotiate a higher salary now or when I obtain my new license? My multinational company of about 10,000 employees worldwide doesn’t have a document management system. Which DMS do your companies use and what’s the initial and carrying costs? Want to encourage my IT team to buy a DMS rather than relying on email archives and shared drives.

How does everyone use their executive admin? I was assigned one when I became GC, but I’m definitely underutilizing her. I prefer to schedule my own meetings and it’s not like I have travel to book, or expenses to submit during quarantine. She’s not capable of higher level legal tasks like my law firm secretary was.

Has anyone recently made the switch to in house and now feel unorganized and less productive than when billing hours? For what it is worth, I’ve received good reviews and my superiors seems to be pleased with my work. I am currently a “Director, Corporate Legal”, interviewing for a “Senior Corporate Counsel” role at a company with similar market cap, legal department structure, and that would have same level of individual responsibility.
