Applying for job at EY which requires a BS degree. I have an AS degree, 7 YOE consulting, and 15 YOE total professionally. Does the lack of a BS degree eliminate me from being considered?
The new Amazon interview process is wild
Has anyone gotten an experience letter from the firm? I am in the process of applying for Canadian PR, was wondering if there is some template or I should it come from my manager in writing?
Interviewing at PA Consulting for a Consultant role. Can anyone share what the interview process is like? PA Consulting
Hi FB family - seeking some help for my soon to be graduating son. He has an interview with capital one. He’s cleared other stages thus far. This last one he’s pretty intimidated by because it includes some type of case interview where the Capital One team will share a pseudo code type case. Anyone know what the format of that interview is? What type of case to expect? Appreciate any guidance on how to prep. Thanks in advance.
Anyone here work for any of the LBMC offices in Tennessee and willing to share their experience? I’ve been working for Deloitte for 5 years and considering applying to a regional firm in hopes of a lighter work load. But I know moving to a smaller firm doesn’t always mean less work. I am in tax so any insight into that specifically would be much appreciated!
Just started looking for new jobs but totally out of practice for interviews. Anyone willing to do a quick phone practice interview with me before the I hit the tough interview rounds?
Hello Guys, I recently gave interview with Deloitte and a Lady took my second round of interview, She asked me about 20 technical questions and I answered 17 and did not 3 answers but still she rejected me. How early can I start applying for jobs in Big Law if I’m looking to start next July? I’ve been an Air Force JAG the past four years, and I’m ready to make the switch ASAP.
Your task is to blow a job interview in the first 30 seconds. What do you do? “How strict is the sexual harassment policy?”
Did anyone listen to the Daily’s interview with Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer? My blood was boiling at the end
Is a technical interview the same as a screening interview, EY folks can you please chip in.
So a company I interviewed with took me to the final round but rejected me for an architect role. Then, two months later the hiring manager hits me up for a manager role he thought I would be a good fit before the job was posted. We had a call and he said he thought I would be a long shot replying back to him. Also, he said everyone liked me and no need to interview. He said he has to post it and let HR do their thing before he can make a final decision. Why post a job if you want me for it?
Can anyone give insight into CBIZ? I’m thinking of applying to a senior tax role in Tampa & would love some info
Anyone have any insight into Brookfield properties? I am interviewing for a data and analytics position in NYC
I gave interview for Technical Manager in Wipro. JD was leaning heavily on architect side. The interview was boring, and the main focus was on team building. All my answers were technical in nature, which did not impress the interviewer. He said, he is just looking where I can fit in the organisation. I doubt they will just put me on hold. Can anyone help me understand, or share similar experience with Wipro if they had.
Should I wear a tie for zoom interviews?
I’m at a huge standstill in my career. Looking for any advice or tips ! I graduated Dec 2017 with a finance degree. I left my first job after 6 months after a new job offer and sadly the new job was not all gold so quit after a year in 2019 (harassment and toxic environment). I have been unemployed since. I had some interviews but no call backs. Don’t know if I should go back to school or what to even do at this point. Had my resume redone as well and interview coaching.
I'm wondering what people in public accounting think about their co-workers who are on working visa...
My intern was assigned the role of “strategist” on an intern-project and they asked me “Wait, so I just have think about stuff, I don’t actually have to DO anything??”
I have strong political opinions, but keep those private at work with the exception of a few coworkers who I’ve known for years. I was offered a job at another local firm with a 25% raise and good benefits. I was doing my due diligence and researching this company and saw on their Facebook page that they sponsor multiple “Trump Won” and “Health and Freedom” rallies with the myPillow guy. Calling on Monday to turn it down. Why would a firm publicly support something so crazy?? On to the next one!
Public Service Announcement: in case you’re wondering what’s going on LinkedIn, Guidehouse/Navigant isn’t going on a partner promotion spree. Just a title alignment taking affect 😂
I just got my second promotion in 3 months. The salary I’ve been offered is less than what I was expecting and could get elsewhere. Can I ask for more or is there no negotiation at promotion stage?
I am thinking about starting a new project where I need to be on client site 3 days a week (vs where I mostly support remote now) while my oldest is starting 1st grade and my SO faces (cont)
People who left accenture in recent times, how much PTO does accenture pay out? Is it limited with the 240 or 200 hours cap? Or is all paid out in full?
Does anyone know if Alexa’s voice is available to use in promotion of an Amazon skill? Or is it a no no ?
Anyone have insight into corporate culture at Tesla? I’ve read the WSJ and heard all the insanity - curious about how much of it is noise vs truth
Brace yourself, Dec 28 is tomorrow, and anxious IRS fan-base is gonna come knocking into your zoom
I never realized how spoiled I was having status with Delta until I had to fly frontier once
My H1-b transfer has been initiated via premium processing. I won't quit until I get my approval, but I'd like to give my current employer some notice. Am I allowed to continue working for my current employer after approval (during notice period), or is that considered an immigration violation?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
I'm on a reporting team with a Manager who doesn't manage strategically. He says "yes" to everything, doesn't keep meetings on track with client and SM, doesn't own anything but agrees to
I know people say to not chase money but I’ve been in the industry for about 5 years (all in NYC at big old agencies) and I’ve never made anything of note. A senior position recently came up at another large agency that I don’t think will lead to great work… but it comes with a pay raise from 85 to 140. I’m in my late 30s and I’m tired of feeling like I’m not getting ahead financially. But sometimes I feel like a failure for not making a lot of cool work like my classmates from ad school.
Anybody anti-teacher’s union and pro-police union? How do you hold these beliefs simultaneously?
I'm definitely more productive remote. The office just provides too many opportunities for socializing. Plus I wouldn't feel ethical billing my client for my midday nap.
