I am in the process of finishing up my MBA but considering also getting my SPHR or PHR cert. Is it even worth it or a waste of time and money?

My H1B is not selected in the second lottery. The next lottery is the only option of getting selected. My STEM-OPT will expire in May 2023. I have some questions 1) If H1B gets selected will I be able to work till October 1st (which is when H1B status gets changed) ? 2) My wife will file her I140 in Feb 2023 can she also file H1 EAD along with it? 3) worst case scenario should I enroll in for day 1 CPT program?

Hi, Recently got offer from Cognizant and now filling the BGV details. I completed my MCA in 3.6 years whereas actual course duration is 3 year. When i am entering the exact duration (3.6 year) they keep rejecting it saying course actual duration is 3 year. Could you please help here how to proceed?

I WFH in IT and my job is pretty "chill". If I focus on work, I can get it done in 15-20 hours, and the remaining time is spent on upskilling/training. However, I'm thinking of putting that time towards a brick-and-mortar side hustle, a basic restaurant. An option that appeals to me is a hole in the wall coffee and bubble tea store, with a few sandwiches. A basic store with a small menu and high margin items, 2 staff on the payroll. Any success stories of people doing this on the side?

Our first miscarriage at 6 weeks and we are overwhelmed by grief. I don’t know how we’re to go through each day now, knowing we have lost our little one. I’m not sure how we’re supposed to try again. For example, I know people who were diagnosed younger have had to battle with not feeling like they need meds to work effectively vs those getting access and diagnosis later having to trial and error while learning about it all fresh.

How people manage the expectation? This round is tough, and might not get in any, but MDs wrote my rec are thinking I would make it and about to leave.......

Advice: how to manage a reapplication as a R3 applicant who was waitlisted and finally dinged last week. I want to apply R1 to the same school (feel like this shows commitment) and I have an improved GRE score but otherwise not much in my profile has materially changed since it’s only been 3-4 months since I last applied... I will have 1 different recommender and 1 of 2 essays will be revamped. How else should I approach this? Anything I’m missing?

Graduated 3.4 UGPA in engineering and economics from a non-target school. 3 Years experience. If I am aiming for M7 how much of a stretch is that and what kind of GMAT score?

Can’t get my direct supervisor (only supervisor for 1.5 mo) to write rec because of lack of time + stigma. My former supervisor (1.5 yrs) and a project manager will be doing my recs. YOE 3.5
I’ve seen many “do I explain in optional?” jokes but does this count as an extenuating circumstance to write about? Do I write a lot of background or an direct explanation?
