How long did it take to move jobs? I’ve only been at one company for too long and desperate to leave but past 6 months of job searching has been dreadful. I’ve been applying every job I see on linked in but not getting anything back or not making after round 1 or 2. Appreciate tips on landing on interviews.

Recently asked for a raise based on YOE and the salary band I’m in. Was asked specifically my reason/basis for asking and said something like “market data”. Now my supervisor wants me to provide the data. Said data is my handful of interviews at other companies (all of which were actually higher ranges than I’m asking at my current). how do I respond?

Hi folks, has anyone changed their career paths from a cyber implementation specialist to sales? I have currently in the interview process for a cloud sales specialist at Palo Alto. They are going to train me technically and teach me sales for 18 months. Not so sure if this is a good idea…but as I thought about it aren’t we all selling in consulting too? Nowadays people are just learning data Structure & algorithms, cracking interviews and earning much more than engineers who have actually put lots of effort in developing a product that yields million of profit to their company. Isn't that injustice to good engineers. What if every engineer would thrive just for higher package and after joining also target another high package and don't even contribute in a single task.

My spouse and I are applying for a new mortgage and my lender looked up our credit scores and suggested that the mortgage is done only for me and not include my spouse as my score was in the top bracket. She is earning as well and i wanted to understand the risk of taking mortgage only on me:
1 - will we end up having issues filing for taxes jointly and show deductions etc?
2 - will there be issues with joint ownership (title) if the mortgage does not include us both?
3 - any other risk/benefit

Or without accepting qualcomm offer i need to inform same to qualcomm hr

I’m 5 years in with my company, am the sole graphic designer for about 34 clients, and am working on 5-7 (sometimes 10) different projects with completely different branding on the daily.
