Does anyone have experience with Ben Glass’s “Great Legal Marketing” programs? https://greatlegalmarketing.com
I ordered a free “starter kit” from his company and received a decent-sized box with some books and audio CD’s. Haven’t listened to the CD’s yet, but the books aren’t bad, with plenty of practical advice.
Now he’s running a promotion where you can get two months of his basic-level course for just $19.95 to cover the cost of shipping. It seems that Ben is one of the better-regarded legal marketing “gurus” out there.
This is a widely it depends question. I don't even know how to anwser it. You should know the facts of your case and what the damages are. Secondly, I have no idea who the opposing party is and how difficult they are.
Hmmm as an attorney (I was previously legal assistant for many years before law school and was a licensed legal intern during law school with a limited license) practicing on my own in civil litigation based in contracts, my first settlement was actually one that my client paid the other party because it was in her best interest. A company asked me to defend them in a small claims case and we were ordered to mediation at the beginning of our hearing and settled at mediation.
150 days to 175 days it depends of the case/matter, we try to expedite our cases for our clients so they can get paid and move on. And the settlements are normally for the full amounts if not we got trial. But we try to encourage quick settlements either by demand letters and talking with opposing counsel to let them know hoe much fees have already accumulated in the case, since the type of work we do enables us recover attorney fees. But alot of times we just can't settle and its fine but thats the average for us.
Plaintiff Firm, we do a wide range of things but our bread and butter becuase were located in florida is insurance denial recovery. We work with the homeowners or the construction companies that obtained assignment of benefits when they get denied becuase of some covered property loss mostly due to hurricanes. Its really cut and dry law and florida has automatic recovery of attorney fees if an insured has to fight their insurance over a claim so their isn't alot of risk involved. The numbers I mentioned 150 days, is typically for claims involving roof repairs, and 175 for about everything else.
Depends on the field. For PI I settled my first case around 6 months out. Got meds, reviewed them and sent a med pack to the insurance. Usually takes around 6 months to get full understanding of injuries supported with treatment. Depending on the policy is can change the projection of the case.
