This is ridiculous to me that people are saying two years. I’m three years out of a good ad school and just entering mid territory. That seems about normal to me
4 years. No one should be senior after 2 years.
My 4th year in high school. Pre cal was hard but I eventually passed
2 years? 3 years? From what, portfolio school? Wow. No wonder there are so many Sr/ACDs in the US with junior atitude and book.
Cw 1 - beat me to it lol
Depends on if you’re working for a social agency or a real agency
Depends on how good you are at your job.
Everyone's journey is different. It took me 5 yrs, but I didn't go to an ad school and I started my career in another country. Coming to work in the US was like starting over (new market, different language), so yea...it's different for everyone.
It used to take 8-10 yrs now it take 3-4 years.
About 5, give or take an internship in either direction. Think I could have swung it sooner, but some life circumstances kept me in a small market for longer than I planned. It all works out in the end, and I feel reasonably caught up with my portfolio school peers at this point. About 1/5 of them are now ACDs. Only one CD.
5yrs + awards
Citizen? 😂

22 months after portfolio school. But another guy I went to school with was a GCD at a very well known agency 5 years after school. He is an ECD now... I'm still Sr
