How long did it take you to hire your first employee after setting up your company?

I stay in Mumbai currently in a wfh setup. I stay on the ground floor. There is constant flow of hawkers in my building (not gaurded by security) and they would shout when i am in an important call which really disturbs and irritates me. In a day there are 5-6 vendors who come and shout. Does any of you face this? How do you'll deal with this issue??

Which company would you join?

I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).

I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.

Startups, what are some examples of unique value add programs a VC can offer? Some ideas I heard: discounts for software (e.g., AWS), product / design / strategy frequent sessions from in-house / industry leaders, short-term special projects (e.g., market entry strategic plan done by the firm’s staff).

That’s on top of connections, finding design partners, etc.
