Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

I'll let you know. Been here 2 years.
Lol seriously
Impostor Syndrome. Extremely common. Even though I’ve recently been promoted, I always feel like I did something sneaky to get it rather than because of my actual skills. My first project at my current role I sat in meetings knowing 0 things, feeling unable to contribute, feeling like every single person was 93 light years ahead of me. Took me maybe a year to feel like l might actually have something to contribute and showcase my skills. Give it time. Get honest feedback from people you trust. Do your best, adapt, then do your mostest betterest best and people will recognize.
Thank you!! I’ll indeed do my mostest betterest best ✨
After about a year? I switched industries so it was very hard to get used to. After a year, I still had some problems specially when new responsibilities were added.
Without knowing you, I’d say you’re probably doing better than you think if you’re concerned of your quality.

5-6 months to feel pretty settled. Probably a year before I’ll feel fully comfortable though. I tend to be slow to adjust…
