How long did your in-house job give you before you had to start? Was able to take 6 weeks in-between both big law jobs but I don’t think that’s the norm or acceptable for in-house. Thoughts?

How do you keep yourself from taking your cranky, tiredness out on your students? My students were loud today but not misbehaving and I just felt like it was me being super cranky that made it hard.

I’m in the interview process for 2 companies, first I am waiting for an offer, the other knows about my other interview and is streamlining the process to get me through. What is a good comp package for a Senior Product counsel role at a fairly established hyper growth tech co?

When is it time at a struggling company to seek a new role? I’ve only been in my role ~ 1yr. It’s great for prof growth bc I’m on a small legal team in a global co and involved in a wide breadth of matters. High QOL and I like the people.

However, we’ve undergone RIFs (not my region yet). Stock price has taken a hit (above mkt).

Ideally I’d stay at least another year. Ok with some degree of risk bc I’m not the sole breadwinner in my family.

Just curious, for others who transitioned in house from a firm, when did you fully realize/appreciate the benefits of your transition?
