If President/CDC/WHO say no crowds over 10/50 for X weeks, I don’t see how any firm can make it mandatory to go to an office before then

SM thinks 2 more months at least

Until a vaccine is developed, tested, approved and available to the mass public, or the virus has burned itself out and the threat is minimal for the general public.

I think my firm is going to be moving towards global flexibility regarding work from home. They won't force us to live in certain cities with offices. Okay I’m going to say it if hasn’t been said before: I want the option to go back to the office now. I get some of you have kids or prefer wfh but I can’t stand it. I hate being cramped up and some people also live with toxic family members. We should make it optional for those who want/need to come back

Hi all, I would appreciate your thoughts - I’ve been really struggling to adjust to long-term WFH and just have been extremely unhappy with it (feelings of isolation, burnout, hopelessness). I realize I’m not spending time on commute and such, not wearing uncomfortable clothes, but I’m still really miserable. I feel like most of my daily joy used to come from live interaction with people. I know many of y’all are really thriving on WFH and need your help / thoughts on how best to adjust. TIA!!

Anybody else food cheat on their partners while wfh? I just had a nice bowl of ramen from my favorite place, delivered discreetly by Uber Eats. Need advice for resigning while on bench. I already have a start date with the new employer. Should I do a traditional two week notice or give <=1 week notice instead? My goal is to not burn bridges, but I also don’t want to get let go on the spot since I have nothing to “wrap up” besides HR tasks. I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...
