Someone explain the practice of sending a more junior associate an email you’ve entirely prepped and drafted and saying “please send to so and so and copy me”. Like, wut? Why don’t you just send it yourself? Honestly so obnoxious and ethically questionable tbh like okay I’m gonna bill our client for this?

Accepted offer at New Firm last Wednesday, paperwork is signed. Not giving notice at Current Firm until this Tuesday or Wednesday because managing partner is on vacation. Partner from New Firm has a new potential client needing help with something I have specialized experience with. Wants me to work on it before my actual start date. I said I can’t if it takes away from Current Firm time but otherwise...is this ethical or okay?

I lead a development team here at the firm. We have a client that's been scope creeping more and more each week, to a point that it's really impacting the teams ability to work. I have tried to push back, but my manager says I need to do whatever the client asks. Have any of you dealt with this? We are seeing a sudden increase in documentation, demo, and side work. (Even creating newsletters and editing emails for the client)

Indecisive about relocating to Bangalore and applying for a relocation to Kolkata instead. I am a fresher who joined at the beginning of this year (staffed in project) and my base location is Bangalore,2days wfo. The primary reason to move to Kolkata being the cheaper cost of living. Senior Manager is now micromanaging everything I do, giving tasks I used to do to a junior employee, and it feels both of them are not happy when I’m in the room or in conversations. Additionally, they routinely try to trip me up in internal meetings. Last feedback meeting went ok, but there’s be a notable shift after the client has a small issue with delivery (now corrected). Should I get worried I’m on deck to be canned?

I’m an Associate XD and I feel like whenever I give input on projects it’s mostly received with slight skepticism from the management supervisor. Is this the norm when you’re a junior on a project?

Has anyone here done a major/technical career switch? I'm a generalist at a boutique firm that will be on leave next few months. I want to use my time to switch careers into tech by attending some sort of boot camp in data science or software engineering (still trying to decide, I know they are quite different).
