Hi All,
Persistent Systems is giving 10% variable on gross annual CTC. HR says you would receive minimum 70% of variable pay every month and remaining 30% will credited once a year at the end.
Does anyone has idea on this? Can I believe this and include 70% variable in my take home

I kind of did the same thing, but with 5 weeks. don't expect to run the whole half, but you'll be able to power walk / run it
Use the run-walk method. Run for 5 min walk for 1 min. Walk even if you are not tired. Decide the intervals based on your fitness. The goal is to finish without injury. I started with 2 min run and one min walk. Finished a 10k at 1hour 13 min. Not bad considering my BMI was 31
Depends on what your goals are and your base level of fitness. I'd look into the a program that uses intervals--this will make it a lot more manageable.
You'll probably be able to get through it with a run walk, it may just be more painful...
Also - hydration and dinner the night before make a huge difference.
I didn't train for my first marathon and was fine... 90% of running is mental. I hadn't run a half marathon prior to my first marathon either. It just increases chances of injury if you don't train properly - buy a foam roller and make sure to stretch over the next few weeks. If you can get a 6 mile run in within the next two weeks you'll be fine.
Adrenaline will take you further than you think... Also! Don't go for a specific time if it's your first half-- just run without thinking numbers
Haha - I think what everyone is saying is that results may vary. Let's assume you're not in miserable shape. You can probably run all the way through. You may feel horrible. If you are in really bad shape, you may have to run walk. If you can't finish, you're either injured or need medical attention.
I just ran 7 in an hour. Had to stop and walk it out a bit on three occasions but this is solid !!!!
Congrats! If you ran that much in an hour, I'm not worried about your ability to finish
Yeah don't think I could've gone that long without stopping but I appreciate the positivity!
Yeah you can likely do it if you can go 7 - just make sure you don't hurt yourself with overuse
Rest enough and carb up. Extremely important.
