I would agree with the previous poster - give yourself at least 6 months. But, to be honest, depending on the complexity of industry you may need to be ready for longer. I did this move about 10 years ago and I probably didn’t feel confident to follow along and lead industry dialogues well into a year. Not knowing what industry you just jumped into, my experience was when jumping into a long-standing, institutional industry those already in it were actually quite patient with me and extremely willing to educate me along the way. I know what it is like to want to come to a new company and bring immediate, exponential value. Harness your inner patience and enjoy the journey of learning something new every day ☺️
