How long does it take to hear back from applying to MBB through referrals?

What's with the weird application questions? How does answering questions about the last movie I watched and the perfect peanut butter sandwich tell a recruiter about how qualified I am for a job?

Currently interviewing for a manager position in PWC (min YOE reqt is 6). I just saw that they have openings for senior manager (min YOE reqt is 8). Can I discuss with recruiter and align my expectations? I have 8 YOE and I think I should be aligned to SM.

Would like your advices. Awhile back I applied and was video interview for a position at a competitor. I suspect I wouldn’t get it based on the vibes they gave off. Now randomly I get an email from one of their recruiter asking if I was interested to apply for a similar position. Should I even bother? It might be with the same people.

Reading through some possible interview questions for FAANG. One of the ones I've seen on Glassdoor are to design a basic architecture structure for something like Netflix or Twitter or Spotify. I've been researching online using AWS or GCP (still learning all the moving parts of architecture). Any advice on how the setup would be? I'm assuming you'd start with some Load Balancers. For Netflix maybe have different different APIs for signing up vs scrolling through possible movies?

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

Hi! I’m sorry if I appear out of the loop. I have been recruited directly for my last few positions so I’m not entirely positive what the proper etiquette is for applying to jobs. I have noticed on almost every LinkedIn job posting there is a section that says “Meet the hiring team” and has an option to message the job poster. Is it best practice to reach out to the job poster after applying now? Or should that be used to follow up if I don’t hear from them?

I get hit up from buyside head hunters and get submitted to firms. Is it faux pas to network with the PE firms after the headhunters tell me they’re hiring? @PwC interviewed me for Manager role in workday practice and came back with an offer for Sr. Associate role with a far less base salary than what I am making now. Is it a routine negotiation trick ? Overall 13+ years of experience but new in WD. However WD FIN and PM certified.
