In public accounting you can expect to get promoted to senior from associate in 2-3 years

If the contract work was compliance heavy it can certainly help. PA firms usually don’t even count internships with them to the 2 years. Usually it’s only full time.

I’ve seen high performers go up for senior after a year. But two is common.

like

Two even if you’re a high performer. Ticked me the hell off when I was an associate bc at one point I wound up reviewing a seniors work (I had prior accounting experience before getting my masters in tax). Don’t take it personal if they don’t budge on 2 years.

Worked my ass off and made it in one year — but am honestly shocked by it still. I think it has a lot to do with the leadership and initiative you are willing/able to show.

I'd like to buy one nice piece of jewelry for myself this year. I have the VCA vintage alhambra pendant and 5 motif bracelet in malachite. I'm thinking of getting the vintage alhambra gold earrings (not malachite). Or something completely different. I really like the Cartier Love and Juste Un Clou collections, but wondering what else is out there that is less of a hopping on the bandwagon kind of thing, a bit different/emerging compared to VCA/Cartier but can be timeless. Four figure $ range.
