I’m not sure if this happens to you, I’m constantly intimidated and feel judged by white men and women and/or people born in the US for having a strong foreign accent in the US. Nobody says that to my face, but I can see it in people’s actions. This has severely affected my confidence and I focus more on the way I pronounce some words rather than the content. How do I battle this situation? Would definitely like both perspectives.

Im an attorney registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. I need support on an issue. I have client resident in Turkey who currently has a legacy fund on a bank in California. Since my client was not aware of the estate, he did not apply to the US authorities to request a certificate of inheritance over the years. There is an application expiration period before this fund can be collected. Is there any attorney from California who able to assit to us on this issue?

Last Spring I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. When I was diagnosed, I think I had had it for several years. My doctor put me on a diabetes med (my A1C was 10.2 and my blood sugar was 270). I knew I didn’t want to deal with the adverse effects of this disease, so I made some drastic dietary changes, started exercising, and brought my blood sugar down. I am now back in the pre-diabetic range, and I got off my diabetes meds. I lost 40 lbs. and feel great! Take care of yourselves! It’s important

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

Ny market... seem slow? Busy, normal?

So, this is a little embarrassing ...but as I get older my facial hair grows in darker and more quickly. I'm pretty much doing some plucking every day, this is common among the females in my family. However, I have the extra problem of those pink bumps former all over my face after plucking. So, I either have dark facial stubble or it looks like I'm battling adult acne..often these overlap some. Any suggestions on how to remove these facial hairs around my lips and chin without the bumps?

No hate please. How do you handle the conversation with partners about depression becoming a problem and/or intervening with your performance at work? I have days where I operate at 300% and others where I struggle to even brush my teeth in the morning. And yes, I am on medication.

Anyone else just sitting around waiting for the ax to drop? I'm a soon to be 2nd year corporate associate who has seen work completely dry up. My utilization held pretty steady around 50% immediately after shutdown, but August was below 15 billables with no appreciable work in the pipeline. Aside from letting people know I'm available and doing pro-bono/CLE, it's starting to feel like a serious "covidcation" leading to termination.
