Is a 5k raise reasonable after meeting my hours for 2020? This is my first raise in 18 months I work at a big civ defense firm. I’m just so upset bc my male colleague got the same raise after only 8 months at the firm and he started at a higher salary than I did. (Exact same class and experience) I think I’m leaving but I don’t know if I’m over reacting.
I recently resigned and the my manager (from US) wants to retain me and has assured to support me for early promotion. Do you think I should talk to Deloitte USI leaders about it? Would it work? Current YOE: 1.5 Position: Analyst
Just here to signal to firms…Thanks for the raise but I’m not working any harder 🙃 Happy Monday!
EY FSO Audit: how is that raise looking this year for new seniors? How does the new performance scale even translate to raise?
How much percent promotion increment is expected from assistant manager to manager level in IT MNC?
Deloitte PPMD 🐟, how did the PPMD promotion rules change over last two years? Is it still doable to become partner / principal? It seems that “everyone” is promoted to MD lately.
After a month of having to constantly ask about my onboarding, I finally was able to join. Now, it's been two weeks and no one seems to know how I get my laptop. With the support number I get an automated response of some mail I should have got which never came. I raise a ticket and they close it saying talk to the manager or onboarding advisor. There is no onboarding advisor and my manager asks me to go back to support. So, did I do something to offend the gods or is this hassle expected?
What is the appraisal hike if I get promotion from assistant consultant to associate consultant? After how many years i can apply for associate consultant? Current i have 8.03 years of experience.
Dear fishes, Please help my curiosity abt How much percent promotion increment is expected from assistant manager to manager level in IT MNC?
Anyone happy with where they're at and don't want to climb the ladder? I'm a C-level and make just about 6 figures annually. I don't live in a high cost of living area (it's moderate) and don't have a ton of expenditures. I live VERY comfortably and have investments as well. I cringe everytime I have to list out "professional goals" or promotional timelines to aim for. I don't want the promo, just give me my annual raise and let me cruise and enjoy life. Any firms that embraces that mentality?
Is three years too long to wait for a promotion as a fresher? What is the average time to get promoted in service based companies, when you start as a fresher?
If you were just promoted at your current company right before getting offered a new job at a new company, what’s the best way to use your promotion to negotiate for a higher offer?
What are some specific action items you do when you’re aiming for a promotion for your next promotion cycle? I understand review cycles/processes vary by firm but is there anything you do that is more widely applicable? Such as documenting the work you completed and the resulting achievements weekly, etc.
Is a breakaway from Tech consulting to economic development possible? What are your stories or stories you’ve heard? Thanks for all advice/opinion. 2 years in after college with recent promotion
My one year at first out of college job is coming up, despite conditions - should I still ask for a raise and a formal virtual performance review. (It is a small firm and they will avoid it if I don’t bring it up). The firm has been making the same if not more profits than they usually would. Thanks!
Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Appreciate the input.
I was caught off guard at my compensation meeting by getting a raise to $100k but also getting a promotion. The raise was decent and it was the minimum I was expecting, but since I got promoted as well I thought the amount should have been higher. We offered a potential candidate $100k for my previous title. For future reference, how can I bring that up without sounding ungrateful and unappreciative? Thoughts?
Hi ladies, Is the 6 month mark too early to ask for a raise? I have been required to over step my job role in almost every capacity. My bosses boss is contacting my personal phone on this weekend as the main point of contact for crisis comms on social media. I am also helping more senior social media members often. I have received 5 pieces of overwhelmingly positive written feedback from colleagues and these will be reviewed at the end of probation talk. I just don't know how to ask. 😔

I like my team at D and the work is pretty chill. Getting paid 90k base with 1.5 YOE. However I have an offer at another big 4 (Not KPMG) for 130k base, with a title increase. Not sure if I really vibed with the people I met during the interviews. What would you guys do? Stay or jump to the competitor?
Do mbb partners also get lifelong pension ?
If a company asks you if you're interested in applying (which you are but you don't want to leave your current team hanging with a project mid-development) is it okay to say you're interested... but
Leaving the firm today. Staff asked me if I was going to steal my external monitor, since it didn't have a tracking barcode, then admitted to stealing one from her prior firm. At the client.

After 1.5 years and 3 failed attempts, today is finally my last day at my client! Excited to move on but damn I'll miss my team and work friends from the account.
On my way to/from a ski trip at Park City, I may have a day to spend in Salt Lake City (possibly Christmas Day). Keeping in mind weather and religious holiday, what would you recommend for one day in SLC. Would we even find restaurants open there on Christmas Day?
