Lol giving up over a year of your life on something you aren't happy with?
Look for a natural break point like end of a phase. If close to a go live then suck it up.
6 months
people are brainwashed here man :/ people look at me like I'm the mad hatter for trying to break the mold and switch
D1, yep exactly my plan... go live is just before the end of this year for phase 1, and then I'm just not going to let them keep on for the rest of phase 2 (already started) which goes live next June
Op are you in federal?
I am also federal and some people thought I was crazy wanting to switch projects after 9 months. But I'm now on a much better project (more interesting work, better leadership, etc), am way happier, and still doing extremely well. At the end of the day, if you network correctly and go well in your next role, you'll be fine.
What do you have to lose....talk to the partner and explain the situation. Can't be stuck on the same projects for ever. That blows!
