How long is the minimum you should work at a company before leaving? I went in-house about a year and a half ago and really don’t like the company, my group, or the work. That said, the experience is great (Fortune 50 company) and I still want to leverage my time here as much as possible.

In a similar positon … only been in my role for 6 months but can’t get into the cult like groupthink culture that goes on. Already applying for jobs, and have had 3 interviews. Tenure hasn’t come up as an issue, though I have addressed it head on before anyone else has had the chance to.

For me when I started it was a remote positon with the *option* to come into the office… it is now a hybrid positon with two assigned mandatory days in the office. I just say that the office evolved into a hybrid and wasn’t what I was looking for. I am nice about it - “it seems to be a great for the company, but it’s not what I want long term” etc…

Traditionally, I’ve been told the minimum is 1 year. That period - in theory - gives you time to get to know the role & decide if it’s a right fit. Also, for some reason a 1 year tenure is less likely to set off “job hopping” alarm bells with recruiters. If you’re trying to figure out the “right” amount of time to stay in a role to max out opportunities though, I’m sure that varies dramatically.

I’ve been at my current company 6 months, didn’t like the culture (very “clicky” and people don’t understand the role of legal). Currently in the onboarding process at a new company, which is 100x better in every way. If you’re not happy…leave.

I think one year is usually seen as the minimum based on standard advice. At one and a half years you’re probably safe to look elsewhere and if you happen to stay until two years then you’re definitely fine.

The only caveat that I can think of is if you happen to work in some legal function that requires over 1 1/2 years to see a project from start to finish. However if you’ve seen multiple projects through from start to finish then I think you’re fine to leave whenever you want at this point.

Hi all,

Need some advice on my next career move. I'm 31, have an MBA and am currently a SC in Risk Advisory with no M&A experience. I am good at risk consulting work but don't find it very challenging or interesting. That said, I expect to get promoted to M next year.

Recently, I interviewed with another Big 4 firm for SC in CDD M&A team and have got an offer. I enjoyed doing the CDD case study, and I believe I'd do well in the role.

Does it make sense to start afresh in M&A at this stage?

Hello all, I need one advice.
I am working as SAP consultant for 3.6 years in same company now. I am going to make my first switch in one of the big 4 in SAP only.
The thing is that I don't really enjoy working in SAP. It was handed over to me when I joined my current WITCH company. Now I have decided to switch to Salesforce tech. For which I have already finished the Admin beginner part.(while staying in NP)
Please advise me if I am on the right track.

Hello everyone!
I’m seeking advise from fishers. My brother in law is going to university next year. He was engineering (which is one of the worse decisions someone can do from my experience LOOL). I told him if anything he should do managment engineering which he got accepted to. He also got accepted to Mcmaster- information management systems. Which in my opinion you get a bit of everything! And this degree is picking up a lot of traction’s across tech. More thoughts in the comments

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Was reluctant to cover my shifts when I became sick and requested time off for a few days. (4 days)

How do stock grants and refreshers work at FAANG and other big companies?

If an offer includes $160k in equity over 4 years, you would get $40k per year, right? Do companies give a refresher each year, so that the second year, you might get $40k from your first grant and another $40k from your second grant?
