Hiii! Just had my final interview and only got to ask one question because it was times up. Was hoping to use that time to show my excitement for the role and company. We used up the time discussing my role and him connecting it to role im applying for. At the end I only got to ask about company culture and quick goodbye. Does anyone else feel that we’re being told “everyone is hiring” but no one is ACTUALLY hiring? More so, putting people through the ringer then saying “we’re on a hiring freeze/position put on hold”. People are not just candidates you put in your back pocket for a rainy day as much as agency’s may think they’re doing a justice by adding you to the “pipeline”. Just a ton of corporate buzz words all leading to “this job is on hold for now”. Recruiting has become a joke of a position

What are some good resources to prepare for data science interviews?

Company (nonprofit) I am interviewing with is hosting an Open House event this weekend. I completed the interview process and was told I would hear back “in a couple weeks - after open enrollment”. I sent a Thank You email after the last interview and another email this morning, inquiring about benefits but did not receive a response.

Would it be a good idea to attend the Open House?

Do thank you notes even help? I usually thank them at the end of the interview so it seems a bit too extra to send another email.

I've applied and networked for my dream job and didn't get an interview this time. Also dissatisfied with compensation and some of the responsibilities at my current job but have a lot of opportunity to learn. So the question is do I stay where I'm not thrilled to be now because it's good experience to set me up for the dream job next time there's an opening, or do I leave now to an option that's better pay and more interesting but farther off the path towards my long term goal?

I’m job hunting and having fairly decent success so far. Made it to the final round for two jobs but lost both. Thinking it can’t hurt to spruce up my resume and cover letter and optimize my LinkedIn profile. Can anyone recommend someone who does this? Not finding great options via Google and looking specifically for ones who are good with creatives.
