Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect

There’s no definite length you should stay at a job. Stay as long as you want until you find something better that improves either your 1. Happiness, 2. Pay, or 3. Career trajectory....or all 3.
For some people that could be a 3 months, 1-2 years, 5+ years, or never.
If you truly want to meet “formality”/social norms before moving onto another job, everyone says at least 1 year.

Repeated six month stints are a red flag, but two years is ample. A manager I had once pointed out at my two year mark that because I hadn't left yet I'd be there forever...
you will get less questions about job hopping while interviewing if you stay 2 years. i think you should leave if you are no longer learning anything from working there. i continue to work at the same place because it’s still a challenge even after becoming a senior team member.
If you’re 3 years into your career and have had 4 stints, it’ll raise flags. If you’re 12 years in and had only one stint, it’ll also raise flags. One stint under 2 years is not a deal breaker, but a repeated pattern of it may be. Can you share more details about your resume (just role and length of stint, anonymize company names), that’ll provide necessary context to say whether < 2 years is a problem or not.
