15 months after joining MBB. No regrets, but a tad too early imo
I left after 1.5 years and don’t have regrets knowing how it turned out but most of the typical exits have a firm cutoff of 2 year minimum - 1 year 7 months does not round up to 2.
I strongly try to discourage anyone leaving before the 2 year mark since they can get the UG+1 level if they just wait a few more months (versus taking 1+ years to get promoted internally).
2 years, I'd say anything less than that is too early
This
2 years.
I was at my first company for a little under 3 years. I would say aim for 2 years or a promotion.
There are reasons to leave earlier, but you do run the risk of ending up in another entry role and slowing your career growth a bit. And also the risk of exiting when you're still early on the learning curve. This is probably less important to most later on in their career.
144 months 5 days and counting, I'll let you know when it happens.
