How many attempts (could be by firm, or by entire cycle) did it take for you to get into MBB?

Considering the recent tech layoffs, a potential pending recession, and some concerns about unrest in this world, is this a really terrible time to leave a job? I feel like my career is stalled, and want to move on, but truthfully am a little worried to give up a job now.
