23 plus a cart. I have taught pull-out gifted for all 7 elementary schools in a district, then 3rd grade for 1.5 years (maternity). Taught music and then first grade in two different private schools. Taught MS ELA/SS/Bible in a third (tornado hit that year and had to move buildings, so that’s two). Back to public for MS music and then Communication—two more. Then elementary music in three schools, one on a cart. Then fourth grade (1 year), kindergarten (2 years), and just finished third year at fifth grade. This past year my classroom was the LRC, so that’s #23 in 20 years of teaching.

Wow!! You hooked me, tell me your tornado story! We’re you all in school when it hit?? How scary!!

Being a substitute for the last three years. I wanted to see where I really enjoyed. So I taught all over them. Everyday unless I did a long term gig. I was in new class everyday, from Autism, to Emotionally challenged from Kinder to High school. My lane now is middle to high school which was very helpful. So many students so little time. ☺️

5 classrooms, and I’ve been teaching 5 years now.

Haha. I’ve had 3 this year!!!!!! 🤣

I did only have 1 for the 6 years before that though, so really 4 in 7 years isn’t so terrible. 🤷🏻‍♀️

3 in 15 years. I had 1 for 6 years, then it had to be torn down to construct a new build. So I was in a trailer for 2 years. Now I have been in my current classroom for 7 years.

6 classrooms in 30 years and a couple of the years we rotated in 3 rooms due to year round. 4 teachers share a wing (3 classrooms) and rotate every 3 months while one teacher is on vacation. It was a lot of work!!! But thank god it was only for 2 or 3 years.

15 yrs x 6 per year 1 year x 6 That's a lot of classrooms! Lol!

Hahahahahaha...I take that back. 8 different classrooms, among 4 different schools, 2 different counties.

I lost count somewhere after 20 classrooms, 10 buildings, and 4 districts in 30+ years. And betting on adding a new building and room over the summer and another new room in the fall.

Our school uses Foss Kits for Science and I was told when students return, we will need to sanitize all items before and after each use. This doesn’t seem possible in a middle school setting where each period has a 4 minute break and 25 students in each period. What do you do in your classroom to minimize the amount of work needed to clean and sanitize items. I don’t want to short change the students’ hands-on experiences.

I’ve been told by my firm that I need to get a corporate amex card. I’m new to consulting- can I still use my own credit card to get the points and expense that way? If it’s the corporate card can I still get points for it also or does it only go to EYP? Curious to know if a corporate amex is even a good thing or the benefits for it. Thanks!

6th year associate here at a TX mid-law firm in a niche litigation practice. I am feeling burnt out with litigation, in particular the discovery process. I enjoy the niche area of law and enjoy substantive writing and in-court appearances, but I am struggling with the thought of doing litigation for the rest of my career. It doesn’t appear there is an opportunity for me to transition to a transactional side here at the firm in the niche practice group. Any suggestions on how to get out of lit.?
