1-2

like

either 1-2 if I'm doing a weekend trip, or a week every few months or so for long travel plans (pre pandemic ofc, now it's all out of whack)

like

All of it, mostly at the end of December when it’s quite in US

like

Paid time off

Mostly 0. But I'm trying to improve these stats. Took 2 leaves last month. 🤷🏻‍♂️

like

0, but I'm trying to get better

Yeah, definitely try atleast 1-2 per!

like

I typically take it a week or more at a time, so not every month, but at least twice per year, and random things do come up that require a full day off.

At least 4 days (once a week), if not more. I'm getting mines babyyy

....what?

I could use some perspective from my fellow 🐠: had an interview with a Deputy GC a little over 2 weeks ago. They said at the end of the interview that they were going on vacation so it might take a little longer than usual to hear back. They did not provide a timeline for next steps otherwise.

Is this code that they want to move the process forward with other candidates first, or am I overthinking things? Should I follow up or just let the process play out?

I have been out of law school for 4 years. I am at my second firm doing business litigation. Unfortunately, I feel like I love the law but hate being a lawyer. The law is fascinating to me but being a lawyer has been draining on my mental health and confidence. I am scared to leave this profession because I have 2 kids that I am providing for. I am also worried that my wife and family would see me as a quitter that couldn’t hack being a lawyer. I feel truly stuck. I feel weak. Any advice?

One year ago this weekend my mother was dying of Covid 2000 miles away from me. On Mother's Day we were told to make a decision to either consent to an invasive surgery that may do nothing or put her on hospice. She died on her own while my siblings and I tried to decide. I need to crawl into a cave this weekend until this holiday passes.

I am currently at a firm and received an in-house offer. Aside from main items like comp and big ticket benefits like PTO/health insurance/401k, what other items do I need to think about discussing/negotiating? For example, fees to keep bar licensure, professional association fees, CLEs, etc. I feel like there is so much on that end I currently take for granted being covered at my firm. Anything else I should consider?

I met on Tinder 4 this ago. We’ve been seeing each other pretty much every day since our first date and this this weekend we went abroad for a short trip. Everything was fine and we had a good time. We have not labeled our relationship but he said he’s not seeing anybody else (neither am I). But, while on holiday, I noticed he was still on tinder. What does this mean? Is he just “checking” or is it a sign that he’s not into me?

How consistent are your executives with their holiday gifts? one partner I support gave me $250 my first year with him and $500 last year. I really go above and beyond for him and in my feedback this month he told me I am the best EA he has ever had, so I was expecting at least the same. He has given me nothing this year (always gives it mid december or before I go on break -which I am now) also always give an e-gift card so not like it got lost in the mail. Not sure what to think...
