Depends (favorite lawyer response haha).

But really, length and context matters. Are your reviewing long presentation decks and contracts? Or more short emails? If the former, could reasonably be as little as 6-10 documents. If the latter, looking at more like 60+.

like

75-300 depending on complexity and review goal, prob avg like 100/hr in a typical litigation or data breach review.

like

60 for a typical, non-technical review. IMO anything more is very fast and risks missing things.

like

I’ve been told a good rule of thumb is 50-100 pages (not documents) per hour

like

Completely depends. Sometimes it’s 1, sometimes it’s 100. Length and content of the documents is completely determinative

I’m looking at a “Program Manager” role requesting 4 years of project management experience. In this bowl, people have said a “program” manager is not a “real” manager. Does that mean someone, like me, who graduated in 2017 and has been working in operations and project management roles since then would be a good fit? Or is it more senior than my experience? It sounds perfect for me but I’m worried about taking my shot at something and just getting tossed as a weak applicant. Should I wait?

I just got an offer for a job at a commercial real estate company. I’m looking forward to my first real job outside of college but my main concern would be the hours. I’ve heard it can be up to 50 or even 100 hours in some regards.
I’m still willing to do the work, but how much of an adjustment will be necessary if the hours are likely to be long?

Need some life advice. For as long as Ive been in big law, I’ve struggled to plan future trips/events with friends because I get anxious about it due to the unpredictability factor (I am in M&A for context). I also live in a major city and friends always ask me if I’m willing to host them and it gives me stress because of the possibility that I wont be able to play host/have to work when theyve travelled all that way. Am I being a jerk to my friends by saying no and putting work above them?

Got a horrible work review and am basically questioning everything now. I mean, I have been for awhile, but today was the cherry on top.

Trying my best to get consistent work flow since i joined last fall - but it’s been hard to get enough work to meet my hours. I constantly reach out to ask for projects and get great feedback from senior associates and partners. Am I right to be worried? Do I just hope it’s a ramp up or should I look at other places if things don’t improve by end of year? Thanks for any thoughts!
