I’m being recruited hard by another firm. Not as good as D but they are good in my speciality area. Currently an SC3. Competitor wants to bring me on at Mgr level with fat bonus and I’d make 12k in
Mck 🐠: Looks like McK hires laterals into AP roles. What are the downsides to being a lateral associate partner? Is progression slower? How about compensation? Typically what years of exp do APs have?
SAP VS APPLE, which company offers more comp for the same amount of experience (7 years)?
How would hours, pay, work environment, career potential change if I move from International Tax to M&A Tax? I am considering the move but want to make sure I actually know what I’m signing up for — I’m hoping for higher comp (10-15%?), less repetitive work and exposure to the M&A lifecycle (more big picture) and potential to lateralize to M&A/strategy consulting. [B4, Senior 1, HCOL but not NYC/SF, w CPA]
Curious about MD compensation at Accenture - anyone has a general sense of what that looks like?
If you are laid off (due to recession) right after joining a consulting firm would you have to give back the bonus?
Hi all, hope you’re having a lovely day. Thoughts on GoodRx and Playstation? Culture, comp, etc.? Have interviews coming up. 4 yoe post-mba. Thank you.
What the average salary for a marketing manager with 8-10 years experience working at a Heath/wellness startup in SF?
Interviewing for a great position in industry (tech). They have equity comp & great benefits. Spoke to their HR, then interviewed with 2 people in the tax department and am getting scheduled for a next round of interviews. The only problem is: the office is about 1 hr from my house (I own). They said repeatedly that they want someone who will be in the office 5 days a week. I would actually move but can’t rent out my place now due to some repairs going on that will take 4-5 months. Thoughts?
What pay can I expect from Walmart? Experience: 7 years CCTC :30 LPA Current Role : Technical Manager Offered role : ? Expected Salary : ? I will be holding a discussion on HR in the next few days.
What should a first year manager expect as a salary in a small firm? Firm is less than 70 employees and in the southeast region.
ISO Manager salary range for Corporate Functions (marketing) at Big 4s. Thanks if you have any insights!
Bain offer letter says up to “xx%” bonus but when I multiply it out it’s less than the $41,250 on online benchmarking sites. Any Bain folks at the consultant level know from experience if the xx% in their offer letter represents target bonus not maximum? Or maybe my offer is just a bit lower. Bain & Company
Going hourly rate for UX/Experience Director? Please add years of experience, city, and awards. Used to charge $145/hr but that was a while ago (then, 12 yrs, NYC and Boston, top agencies and financial institutions exp, top notch portfolio with deep strategic, UX, IA, interaction and usability work, some awards).
Deloitte - any idea of what to expect for salary and bonus (signing and annual) for an consulting experienced hire entering in as an HCM/OTT Manger? TIA!
Moving to Houston next year. What kind of salary range would I be looking at as a consultant or senior consultant at Deloitte in the Regulatory Risk group? I’m a CPA with PA and industry experience.
Wow. McKinsey, which has the biggest public sector presence of the MBB, really hasn't been doing too hot at all in the sector. Its presence is tiny and it's gotten even smaller. Meanwhile it's bungling whatever opportunities it's getting. https://www.propublica.org/article/how-mckinsey-is-making-100-million-and-counting-advising-on-the-governments-bumbling-coronavirus-response
Where are some of the best places/hotels to use SPG points? I usually book Airbnb when I travel but want to leverage my suite night upgrades some time this year and get the most value out of them
when an intern is told to go through old m&a models that are in the drive, what is the best way to go about it and actually analyze the model to that i learn something? cont.
Has anyone here taken a pay cut because of mental health? I work in a very dysfunctional environment with a manager who can be despotic and unnecessarily harsh - and I am tired of it. I have been interviewing with a small company who seems to have nicer management but pay 20% less. And I am just about to jump ship.
Happy New Year! Although just a change of a digit on the calendar, the fact that we’ve rotated around the sun gives people inspiration for change. What new or altered mindset or actions will you be bringing into your classroom in 2021? 🤩
So I’ve been on a big tech client adv project for months now and have formed a good relationship with one of the contacts. She’s dropping hints about open positions, and they would pay me about 40% more and I like the company culture, so I want to work there. Will there be a noncompete or other internal problem if I go work for them / tell them I’m interested at the very least?
ACN 🐠, salary check for Applied Intelligence Manager with 8YOE? Any additional components like transport allowance, broadband reimbursement, Bonus, signon that you are aware of?
Anyone laid off from Deloitte been getting interviews? (Not for tech roles but more finance) im getting traction from head hunters but not much from firm website applications
How do you decorate a high school special education classroom? What are helpful resources on the wall for students?
Is it just me or Marriott is the only one not telling you explicitly when your status expires? I know it’s pretty straightforward (EDIT: and it’s in the policies) but everyone else (all airlines, Hyatt, Hertz...) shows it clearly in the app and when you log in on the website...
Has an offer to join a smaller but growing firm. Will get a decent raise, but I'm concerned about the lack of delivery capability. Seems like the expectation is they want you to be able to do it all, and they brand and technical breadth is not as established. Looks to me its high risk and the reward is just the raise they offer. Anyone has similar experience can share their experience?
Looking for fellow applicants (round 1 targeting M7). Extremely nervous about submitting and torn between shooting for MBA and seizing the current hiring spree.
Going back to school and student insurance doesn’t cover therapy. There’s on campus therapy but it’s $100 per visit. What are some cheaper alternatives for online therapy that are legit? Heard talkspace is pretty bad
Anyone else feel like their actual work is very disconnected from their paycheck? If I do a great job and create a ton of value for the client I’ll get a maximum of a 15% TC increase YOY (much less due to covid). Similarly if I do the absolute minimum it’s really hard to be fired since I’m in a hot market and they can’t decrease my TC without cutting my base pay (which I’m 99% sure they won’t do). And my raise/bonus won’t even necessarily be indicative of my performance anyways.
I love when PwC throws me onto a busy season from October-January for a different market team so I can roll off in January and be on my busy season clients until April...second year in a row!!!
Slalom HR following up, any SM transitions to Slalom ? what should be the level and salary , need to decide now
When you're trying to roll off..
What’s the most strategic exit you can make when getting a new job? I want to roll off my project and just say I am looking for a new project and just never take a new one... (sounds terrible I know) My current project contract is about to be over and a lot of people are using it as an opportunity to roll off even though they’re prolly gonna renew it. Start date for my new job is negotiable so I really want to collect as many checks and stack PTO as much as I can. Deloitte Accenture EY PwC Boston Consulting Group Accenture
