I'm at 1700. I eat my fair share of hours.

like

At Deloitte goal is 90% utilization. So... 40hrs * 52 weeks * 90% = ~1870.

like

Bill? ~2000 hrs. Actually work? ~1500

like

3000 total, ~2400 chargeable for staff ~2500+ for senior

like

1800 billable for staff

like

@PwC1 no way they're hitting 3K. Assuming 40 days of PTO/Firm Holidays and not even taking training days into account that's an average of over 13 hours a day. No way in hell any staff are averaging 13 hour days across the entire year.

like

^PwC1 is right

like

But usually we pass that. I was at around 1700 with my eating hours.

like

I think total for an average staff is 2400. Senior is 2600.

like

Rsm staff are getting paid the same for 60% of the hours worked. That's what. We don't work until 2am in busy season like yall big4 folks. Latest ive ever stayed at a client in busy season is 8pm.

like

^F500 audit where teams are gone by 8PM in busy season on a Large Accelerated SOX audit? I call BS.

like

^Noticed that national firms have auto updating sample plans and forms. That alone takes saves them a crap ton of hours. At uncle D we have to download and roll all of our forms manually (waste of time and brain cells).

like

^seriously? Wtf are your staff doing all year? How is the number not higher considering they're likely pushing 60+ for three months out of the year?

Agreed. 3000 seems excessive. I thought my being on pace for 2600 was a lot..

My total includes training, G&A, and vacation hours. Anything that gets booked. Chargeable is only client hours

So does mine.

RSM is 1800 billable and 2200 total

1800 billable and 2400 in total expected for pto training and other non charges for staff and seniors. It's a little less for managers and SM and above that in terms of charge hours.

Oh yeah I was wrong. 2200 chargeable 2400 total

I did ~2500hrs this year as a staff2. ~98% billable. Average at firm is probs 2300hrs, 90% billable.

a) I've been told virtual onboarding is no longer a thing.
How many days does in-person onboarding activities occur?
b) HR Informed,"After onboarding is complete, can get perm WFH based on project or extension of WFH as IBM is flexible"
Is this true? Can managers extend/grant remote for a month then let us transit to remote model?

While obviously subjective and personal, does anyone have an opinion on best engagement ring carat size? Kind of looking for that all around size that isn’t does look so large realism is questionable / could get your finger cut off on the subway, but large enough where you won’t be moved to “upgrade” later in life if you were a partner with a country club membership and all that. Just a nice lifetime sized stone for an upwardly mobile professional.
