How many hours of vacation do you currently have saved?

What’s your desired or expected salary increase when you join another company? Assume next level promotion in position/title. What’s reasonable? 10%, 20% or more? A colleague felt 20% wasn’t enough to jump ship for the added responsibility. What are your thoughts? What would make you pause or immediately sign up? Assume vacation and benefits on par.

If I'm forced to use my vacation, floater, etc. towards my study leave for CFE but I have vacation booked for right after CFE, will PwC still let me take that vacation as a "leave of absence"?

Resignation dilemma: after working in a small immigration/family law firm (2 attorneys) for almost 4 years with only a 5% salary increase in that time, I was recruited for a larger family law firm (9 attorneys), offering better benefits and a 45% pay increase, but less flexibility. When I informed my boss, she countered with a 36% increase and unlimited vacation. What started as an easy numbers decision has become a more complicated calculus now. Should I even entertain the counter offer?

I’ve been waiting for security clearance since July and just found out I’m pregnant after trying for a year. I’m hoping clearance will be granted in early spring 2021 and I can start work soon after. Thankfully taking unpaid time off isn’t a big issue (won’t be eligible for FMLA or parental leave), but worried about timing and telling HR & my supervisor. I’m planning to tell them once I start; know timing isn’t ideal and stressed about starting off on the wrong foot. Any advice?
