PwC is growing a strong group of women in SAP!! We have a mentorship group ironically called Woman in SAP haha and I do feel like we all support each other and create opportunity for one another!
P1: as an ex PwC SAP woman - let's not talk about support group that is offered to woman. I don't know how long you have been at this firm - but my tenure was full of nightmare times. And don't even get me started on leadership. Laid off 3 women leaders from my practice within 3 months. One just joined only for 3 months to be laid off. I can definitely say that Accenture is way better in supporting woman in SAP practice.
4.8 yrs. Was into SAP but my project pressure was killing me at ATCI. Switched to Grant Thornton into COUPA practice.
I used to be an ABAPer for 8 years. Definitely a man’s world. Most of the time, I had to work harder to prove that I can compete with men.
Also I had to learn how to play dumb (outside of coding) to boost superiors’ egos. Not fun, so I left that career track.
You're not alone. There a lot more today then when I started working 15 years ago. Also a lot more in leadership positions. Had plenty of amazing sponsors/mentors over my career both men and women. Seek out mentorship from leaders that you work with. You'll be pleasantly suprised how many folks genuinely want to help the next generation.
Guess something EY needs to catch up. We only have a group called women in technology but not SAP specific
11 yrs and counting
