Aside from my native language, I speak English, Spanish, and some Mandarin.

Oh wow! Does it help with your work?

C C++ Java Javascript Typescript Python Dart Go

English Hindi Punjabi Dogri Urdu

English and Punjabi

Hindi, English = 2

I only speak 2 but I’ve been meaning to branch out and learn more.

English, Hindi, Urdu, and just a little bit of German

I'm guessing every hindi speaker can just add urdu in their arsenal without any effort. No ?

English and Hindi. Trying to learn Spanish currently as well.

Why are you learning Spanish

My parents have always said put the most amount into your 401k but I only put around 8-9%. I currently have 223k in it at 35. I would put more but I have been investing that money in the market to hopefully use in the next couple of years. Any advice on what is a good percentage. I'm sure most will tell me to max out.

I joined consulting from industry with a salary increase of 60% and in hope to work on interesting and challenging projects. It has been only 8 months. My old job was slow, bureaucratic and boring but I barely worked 7 hours a day. While I am happy that I am learning a lot, I am also pushing between 12 to 16 hours a day and working for a toxic client. I am worried I will burn out soon. How do you manage to stay in consulting for so long ?
