Any tax advantages ways to save for retirement after you’ve eclipsed the ~$18k max on a 401K. Income too high for an IRA as well, is it really just using a taxable investment account?
My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
Just got a 5% raise(not a flex). Do I put it straight into my 401k and get a little match (not too great but still something) or keep it liquid and save it for a house? I want to get into a house in the next year but only put 10% into retirement currently.
