More like, freelancing until something worth it comes along. Otherwise, the freedom and sanity is too good to give up.
My exact thoughts
๐ Nope. Enjoy the freedom and no politics waaay too much. And no phone call directed by the holding company to reduce staff!
Yes. But it took hard work to get going. Itโs like starting any business. You have to market yourself and connect. I was cocooned on staff for years and only went to a select events. After leaving staff, it was like no one knew me, even though I had been here and producing for years. Now itโs paying off.
Iโve been self employed (mostly freelancing) for 15 years...with a year of an agency job in the middle. What a horrible mistake it was. How can you FT peeps do it?
you're giving me hope and reaffirming my choice to leave and freelance after 15 years of FT. I'm excited!

NO! Left full-time by choice. Never going back.
Full time is over-rated. Better to charge a solid day rate, do your job and git out
Nice if you can get it.
Meeeeee!

Iโve been freelancing for 4 years now and love it! Iโll never go back to full time.
I much prefer freelance over full time.
